Kasey Michaels has done it again with a continuation of Maggie stories. What a hoot!! Good, amusing read. Try it.
Another easy and fun to read book. Would recommend.
Maggie has a successful career, a great apartment, a fascinating man, and all she wants is to curl up on the sofa with her cats and a bag of Funyuns. What's wrong with this picture? Maggie should be enjoying the company of Alexandre Blake, Viscount St. Just, hero of her historical mystery novels... but ever since Alex and his sidekick, Sterling, materialized in her living room, she's been dodging dead bodies. The news that the dynamic due had gotten their own place was music to her ears, until the symphony ended with a hyserical phone call from Bernie Toland-James, her recently widowed (as in just woke up next to the bloody corpse of her estranged husband) publisher... OK, this just got personal. Messing with Maggie's friends? Bad move. Messing with her friends while she's going through nicotine withdrawal? Watch out! What with trying to sleuth, quit smoking, evade her therapist's more pointed questions and meet her latest deadline, she's a woman on the edge!
This is a great cozy, a terrific series.
