Bernard Knight, the author of the wonderful "John Crowner" series---a 12th century forensic coroner--- has written this delightful tale of Madoc, a Welsh prince who was in love with sailing and ships, and who the legends say "discovered" the Americas in the 12th century. The end of the book also includes details on supporting sources of the legend and whether they are fact or fiction.

This story is also very suitable for Young Adults.
