Made to Be Broken, the 2nd book in her Nadia Stafford series, is a great read.

Armstrong writes multi-demensional characters so well that Nadia, the main charactor, a resort owner, and occasional hitwoman becomes someone you relate too and like. You'll end up understanding and having empathy for her moral confusion, the gray areas that make killing evil people sometimes right. You'll want to read the next book to find out more about her and her other hitman friends.

Made to Be Broken's story line is a mystery that unfolds in bits, pieces and bursts that keep you wondering, reading one more chapter to find out what's going on and why.

I enjoyed Made to Be Broken and look forward to Nadia Stafford Book 3.

I can see the Nadia Stafford series as a tv show. It falls into the same category as a crime drama like CSI - shot mostly at night, but it also has the action of a spy thriller like Alias or La Femme Nikita. Despite this Armstrong series not being urban fantasy like her Otherworld books, I think it still has Armstrong traits - a smart heroine, a dark but not too dark storyline, plenty of action, plus some romantic elements. It's one of my favorite series out right now.

I have a lot of the same comments as with the first book as this one. The characterization stays consistent between the books. Nadia is very smart and good at what she does, but because she's "the strong silent type", she can be a bit oblivious about relationships. The love triangle I thought there were hints of in book 1 begins to take shape in book 2. But of course, Nadia being dense doesn't really see it. So this has romantic elements because of it.

I love anything that Kelley Armstrong writes! I really like this series though. I think the main character is unique. I love that she's a strong female character. Lots of interesting character flaws and background.

I became a fan of Kelley Armstrong's books when my sister picked up Bitten and Stolen because they dealt with werewolves and the paranormal. I continue to love the Women of the Otherworld Series and can't wait for each new title. So when I saw that she was starting a new series that wasn't paranormal I was a little leery and worried that it wouldn't be any good, but I read the first couple chapters on her website and decided to give it a try. I really enjoyed the book and was thrilled when the second one came out.

This book continues Nadia Stafford's story. The idea of a female ex-cop hit-man sounds like an un-plausible storyline, but Ms. Armstrong makes the character both sympathetic and entirely riveting. Her characters come to life and the dialogue and action keep you on the edge of your seat.

This, the second book in the series, continues to keep you glued to the plot and quickly turning pages to find out what is going to happen next. I can honestly see these books being made into great action suspense movies. If you like a good anti-hero and vivid characters, this is a great series to read.
