A fast read, with a predictable ending, but not to badly done.
Excellent mystery , really kept you guessing. You can figure it out if you really try, especially if you have read her books before and have a feel for her style. I like that though, don't like a book that pulls a character out of thin air at the end. Really enjoy this author's books.
interesting twist in the end.
I have several books by Joy Fielding on my bookshelf. If Mad River Road is any indication of how her other books read, I'll pass. The story begins with a murder. The next several chapters don't seem to have anything to do with the murder. The character of "Jamie" is so annoying and stupid, she's beyond belief. She seems to know she's stupid, but apparently she's SO stupid that she doesn't stop for one stupid second to think about the stupid repercussions of her stupid actions.
I'm giving up on this one - I just can't take Jamie anymore!
Pretty good thriller about a nasty serial killer and his bloody journey to find his ex-wife and exact his revenge. Fielding does a good job of building the suspense, but the book is formulaic and everything is tidied up and tied in a bow at the end. Perfect to take on a cruise and leave on-board when you're done.
great book - very hard to put down.
This is a knuckle biter. I carried it with me for the 2 or 3 days it took me to read it. Enjoyed it very much!

Great book, lots of interesting plots.
Another good one from JF, page turning suspense with that little twist at the end.
