I love it. I liked Alexander when I read "Penelope and Prince Charming" so I was glad that Ms. Ashley gave him a very good story.

An enjoyable read! It served it's purpose which was to entertain me on a plane ride. Now I'm anxious to read the first in this series, Penelope and Prince Charming.

I thought this book was delightful but any book with a paranormal twist and a tall brooding man will work for me!

Book 2 in the series is sexy, fun, and interesting. Learning about how the 2 main characters have so much in common was great. If you like stories about how the underdog overcomes adversity you will love the DUKE. The sex scenes aren't bad either!!

I like Jennifer Ashley's pirate series of books but I didn't like this book. Even though the hero is a different kind of hero than in other books, he wasn't very likeable.

So much better than it's predecessor, Penelope and Prince Charming. The Mad Bad Duke started off right into the story and never slowed. The story was romantic and very sexy with lots of good bits throughout. Having read all the Highland Pleasures books, Penelope & Price Charming was such a disappointment, it was as if a totally different author was writing. However the Mad Bad Duke read like a Jennifer Ashley novel and was such an enjoyable treat to read.

Love spells, magic or something more? Set in England, 1820 the story revolves around a passionate diplomat and an apparently misguided love spell.
The hero's mission is to protect the interests of his tiny country from the avarice of the superpowers of the day. The heroine is drawn into the diplomatic intrigue and attraction to the hero thru what appears to be a love spell intended for another. Or was it a spell at all?

Book Description
Meagan Tavistock could easily see how Alexander had earned the nickname Mad, Bad Duke. His deep blue eyes promised sinful pleasure, his touch burned through the silk of her dress, and his rich voice intimated that as soon as they were skin to skin, hed fulfill desires she didnt even know she had. When a love spell missed its intended target, Meagan could no longer resist the temptation...until the magic wore off, leaving the pair in a most compromising position. Their only option was a marriage that thrust Meagan into a new world of high danger, dark secrets, and a passion so intense she couldnt help wondering: Was it the lingering power of the spell or true love at last?
