Excellent story!!! I really enjoyed all of the twists and turns with it - it wasn't the typical story that I have come to expect!

Kathleen Harrington is always a great read! Highland Lairds***Married by decree**he is her family's ancient foe. For Rory MacLean, this marriage was merely a means to secure his fortune.
This is an excellent historical Scottish romance! I just couldn't put it down. I'm waiting on the other books in the Trilogy.

This was a good story and interesting characters. I like the quick pace, now that being said if you are paying attention to details then it will make you a bit nuts.
The way they spoke and the words they would have used in that time frame is way off.
The clothing and the style of homes/castles are not correct.
The main female character is a bit annoying but if you keep reminding yourself she is only 17 and she is acting like a 17 year old it is easier to take.
The male main character is great, love his sense of humor, passion and loyalty to family and friends. He is a typical highlander.

This book was very hard to put down! I absolutely loved it. Hope I can find others about Scotland and the same time period which are as good. It was so interesting to see how the people in that time period thought and the rules, etc. they lived by.
I highly recommend it.
