Audio Review:
After a self-imposed five-year exile, Jason Sherbrook purchases Lyon's Gate, an English stud farm. There he meets Miss Hallie Carrick, whose papers reveal that she has purchased the property, too. With the sale in dispute, the seller makes a decision based on the wisdom of Solomon. Anne Flosnik's narration is superb, as are her characterizations of major and minor British characters, which are so good they give the sense of multiple narrators. Her depiction of the kindly but pompous butler, with an imperious tone and upper-crust accent, makes him a memorable character. However, the plot is weak, and the romance nonexistent. Only devoted Coulter fans will enjoy this one. -- AudioFile
