My general rule is if I am not enjoying the book by a quarter of the way through, then I stop. Too many great books out there not to. This one I broke my rules. I've looked forward to reading this one for awhile. The cover and the idea just told me it was going to be great. Well after halfway, I gave up. I cannot handle it anymore. I got to the point where I would cringe every time I opened it. This was more of a book about constant bickering with an occasional nice word said. Peppered here and there would be going from one camp to another camp and having something slightly scary happening which would open it up for more bickering.
This was a great idea that just couldn't pull it together for me. If something finally happened, I didn't stick around to find out.
