I was thrown, at first, by the fact that the author includes recipes that are fairly high in carbs. I then realized that she has separated the recipes into very low carb "Quick Start" recipes and higher 'good carb' recipes.
I think this book is appropriate for someone who is aiming more for a South Beach type of approach, and not so much for those with an Atkins-oriented folks.

Easy to cook and easy to eat. A great book, but I had two of them. These recipes will have you in the kitchen and eating in under an hour. Who could complain about that?

Not just recipes but great low carb diet ideas and tips too

This is probably a pretty good cookbook, well organized and containing simple and quick recipes. But to be honest, I couldn't tolerate the diet -- GAINING five pounds in one week is not a good omen for a weight-loss plan........ so there's no point in my keeping the cookbook.

More information than recipes however.

Interesting combinations of meats and veggies. The biggest drawback, is that the ingredients are NOT the types of things you'd normally have in stock, in your kitchen. No suprises, you won't find pasta, rice, or potatos featured here.
Also keep in mind, "minutes" doesn't mean 20 or 30, plan on spending an hour in the kitchen. The payoff is good, though, because these are good enough to serve to guests.

I love this cookbook for several reasons. First, entire meals can be completed in 30 - 45 minutes. Second, Linda Gassenheimer provides complete menus for dinner, so I don't have to spend time working out which side dishes I'm going to serve with the main dish. Third, the author also gives time-saving tips and suggests the order in which to cook the dishes. Finally, her ideas for low-carb, quick breakfasts and lunches are creative and delicious. I highly recommend this and her other cookbooks.
This is a good one if you want to limit your carbs.
On a low carb diet? This cookbook will help you make some delicious low carb meals.
More of a diet plan than a cookbook. Has lots of recipes.
For carb intolerance, this is NOT a low-carb cookbook. For those who are carb intolerant, note the pasta in the cover photo.
I donated this book to Goodwill, found others that are better (PROTEIN POWER LIFEPLAN, Dana Carpender's books, DR. BERNSTEIN'S DIABETES SOLUTION, Gary Taubes' GOOD CALORIES, BAD CLORIES, among others) and have lost nearly 50 pounds since late Oct. 2010.
