This book is about a woman who return to Colorado ranch to help her sister through her pregancy. it is a painful reminder of everything Miranda knows she'll never have. Ben isn't looking for love, all he wants to collect what is owed to him after his brothers death. But with Miranda's soft touch is temptation and love just what he might be looking for.

Passionate and intelligent
Warning: this book is addicting. Once you pick it up, you won't be able to put it down. Benjamin Lansing arrives in the Colorado Territory to collect on a loan and instead finds a mystery surrounding the death of his brother. The longer he spends in Fort Victory, the more he realizes things aren't at all what they seem. And every minute he spends with Miranda, who is at the center of it all, the harder it becomes to deny the heat between them. The last thing Miranda needs is a man in her life. She's come to Colorado to help her sister, not to get tangled in another romance that could end like the others...with betrayl and pain. But the more she gets to know Ben, the less she is able to resist, even if she's sure her heart will be broken again. And after a steamy night in a remote cabin, there is no turning back.

Miranda Chase can't refuse when her pregnant sister Mercy asks her to return to their Colorado ranch, though her sister's new family is a painful reminder of everything Miranda knows she'll never have. She'll travel to the ends of the earth to protect Mercy's newfound happiness - even if it means sweet-talking Benjamin Lansing, whose claim to Mercy's ranch reaches beyond money. But despite Miranda's distrust of the man, the sweet words come easily, as do the kisses...

Ben isn't looking for love - and certainly not with Miranda, who is as pure and innocent as a spring flower. She has no need of a hardened man like him. All he wants is to collect what's owed him and be on his way. But Miranda's soft touch is temptation indeed, and loving her - for now and forever - just might be what he's truly wanted all along.....

First introduced in "Loving Mercy," the Chases and Buchanans return in this novel. Benjamin Lansing wasn't looking for trouble, though Miranda Chase is pure temptation. But falling in love with her might be the best thing that ever happened to him.

This is part two of a series, be sure to read Loving Mercy also. These are the first books I have read by this author and I loved them both.
