Actually I was quite surprised at how well this book was written...I secretly was afraid it would be too cheesy...but I actually got involved in the plot and couldn't put it down. It was well thought out and had a great story line, characters, romance, etc.
I'd definitely give it a rave review.
The main character works for B.L.I.S.S. creating items for agents to use...kinda wonky, but when she gets pulled into "field work" is when it takes off and doesn't let go, right through to the end!
Two thumbs up!

Shy Jane Spyrus loved gadgets. She could build anything B.L.I.S.S. needed in that organizations's international fight against crime-although its agents weren't exactly queuing up at her door. Some of them thought her innovations were too... wel, innovative. Like her shrink wrajp prophylactic constraints,or her spray on truth serum. But they just didn't realize those items potential.
Of course, you couldn't use the wacky inventions to fix all your proublems;Janeknew that better than anyone. Her neighbor had been kidnapped, driving that point home. She would have to team up with another human being - and Abel Andretti arrived just in time.He would help Jane find her neighbor, stop the evil machinations of Dirk Ensecksi, and most of all he would have to show her how to love the daylights out of something without batteries.....

Spies and love-what a good combination!
The names used in this book really cracked me up.
Funny quick read.
Amusing spoof of spy movies - enjoyable and funny.
enjoyable is part of a multi author series liked the bliss rocket launcher
Jane is a genius and kicks ass at her job in research and development. She's also pretty and self-conscious about her body. She comes from a family that were all spies in BLISS, a CIA-like organization. She lives with and helps care for her grandma (who was paralyzed while on the job). She comes up with some interesting gadgets (vibrators that are missiles, condoms that shrink, etc).
So when she realizes her next door neighbor, who also happens to be a close friend, is kidnapped, she goes into action- with her grandma and Edie's brother Abel (who is currently working in the UK, but in town for a visit). This was fun and didn't take itself too seriously.

Written tongue in cheek, the tale centers around Jane Spyrus, who works developing spy technology for agents in an organization called B.L.I.S.S. Whether it's tracking devices hidden in tampons or truth serum embedded in perfume, she's in her element. A third generation employee, she finds herself - and her wheelchair-bound, retired B.L.I.S.S. agent grandmother - in the field, where her life and the lives of others depend on her ability to find her footing, defeat the evildoers with global mind control on their agenda, fall in love, and keep the dog Tinkle and the cat Mr. Tibbs apart. All in a day's work.....
Actually not a bad bit of fluff that can be read quicker than American Idol can identify its 24 finalists (sigh - I have a teen in the house). It's written as an over-the-top spoof and be prepared to chuckle with that in mind.
