This book was very entertaining. I love Jackie Collins. This book was somewhat similar to Chances. It had love, sex, surprise, crime... and more. Great story.

I loved it. It was delicious, summer trashy reading that reminded me of the 80s (pre chick-lit)!

Sex, love, and music are the backdrop for this story of Red Diamond, rich, cruel father, and his three sons, Chris, Max, and Jett, whose lives are decent despite him. The estranged sons are called to New York by Red and end up bonding with each other and working through their crises while fighting off the sadistic actions of their father. Isabel Keating brings the passion of Collins' story to the fore, along with its main and secondary characters, all of whom hope for better lives. Keating portrays the ups and downs of the Diamonds' encounters and entanglements while spinning out Collins' subplots.

The Diamond family rules in this novel and Red Diamond, a much-loathed billionaire, summons his three sons, Max, Chris, and Jeff to New York for a family meeting that will rock their world. This is a love story about family relationships and deadly choices.

This is typical Jackie Collins. Some characters you love others you want to crush to a pulp. This is a page turner indeed!

A fast moving page turner... Each chapter switches back and forth to be told from a different characters point of view (the three Diamond brothers and aspiring R&B/Soul singer Liberty) Each character is well developed and interesting. I especially liked Liberty; she reminds me of what Beyonce may have been like as an up and coming R&B artist (also being persued by((and of course now married to))a big Hip Hop Mogul: Jay-Z) This book is definitly full of unexpected twists and turns with a much unexpected surprise at the end!!! As a huge fan of chick lit I would highly reccomend this to any other Chick Lit reader!!

This is a typical, always-entertaining Jackie Collins story of love, lust, betrayal, and Hollywood. She gives you an inside look at the decadent world of the rich and famous.

On the back cover:

Dangerous sex, family secrets, irresistible power, mega money, and two murders equal one reckless week in New York...

In Lovers & Players, the Diamond family rules. Red Diamond is an abusive and much-loathed billionaire. His three sons, Max, Chris, and Jett, are summoned to New York for a family meeting which rocks their world.

Diahann, a beautiful black ex-singer, works as Red's housekeeper-a job her daughter, Liberty, does not approve of. A waitress and would-be singer herself, Liberty has dreams of her own and while she persues them, Damon P. Donnell, married hip-hop mogul supreme, pursues her.

Young New York heiress Amy Scott-Simon is engaged to marry Max. At her bachelorette party she runs into Jett. Jett has no idea who Amy is. She also doesn't realize who he is. A one-night fling leads to major complications.

Now the lives of these characters will intertwine, forever changing their destinies, in this highly charged love story about family relationships and deadly choices.
