If you liked her other 2 books, you'll really like this one. I like these as much as the Jennifer Chiavernini books. Full of history of the Shenandoah region of Virginia.

Another wonderful story in Richards' quilt series. This time the story centers around the reporter who showed up briefly in the second book, Kendra. Finding her DC life hollow, then being brutally attacked, she retreats to the Shenandoah area to heal both body and spirit. A wonderful story of how she recenters herself, and helps her husband to grow in the process. I love this series and hope a fourth shows up soon!
If you are interested in the history of the Shenandoah Valley in Virgina, this is part of an interesting series and contains some quilt making history. I thought it was very good for light reading.

Another great story from Emilie Richards about love, life, survival.
A wonderful read, the ending is a surprise. Loved it.
I am not sure how she does it but this was the best one yet!! Fantastic story and I love the interaction with the other storylines
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The author sucked me right in with her description and made the book a wonderful summer read!
Confused about her troubled marriage, Kendra Taylor needs time to sort out her feelings. Retreating to an abandoned cabin left to her husband, Isaac, by a maternal grandmother that he never knew, she is quickly welcomed into the rural community of Toms Brook. She soon becomes curious about a beautiful heirloom quilt and the past Isaac have always refused to explore. The unusual quilt clearly has a story to tell, and Kendra hopes that helping her husband connect with his roots may also help him reconnect with her.
At first Isaac's reluctant visits to the cabin only underscore the difficulties in their marriage. But as circumstances force them to piece together a new relationship, Isaac discovers that the history of a family that he never knew may hold the key to his future.
As a passionate story of strength, loss and desperation unfolds, the secrets of the quilt are revealed and the threads of an unraveling marriage are secured.
The 3rd tale in the Shenandoah Album series.

I enjoyed the story very much. I like this series of books that mixes a present day story with a story from the past.
Books arrived with some of the inside pages that were wet (USPS??). They did not effect the pages for reading, but this is not a copy to give as a gift. You can see the "wrinkles" on the pages, but the text is not smudged. There are no other marks/tears, Mother says it's a great read, give it a try, it's free here!
