At least three of the four stories in this collection are lead-offs and good samples of book series by the authors. Feehan's Magic in the Wind is the first "book" (now being released as a tiny book by itself) in the Drake Sisters series. Sutcliffe spins a tale that starts here and continues in her novel, Bad Moon Rising. Eileen Wilks gives you the first version of how Lily Yu first meets Rule Turner, her werewolf lover-to-be in a story that has since spun off into an ongoing series of popular novels. This one was interesting to read because the same story is re-told in the beginning of the first novel (which I had already read), Tempting Danger (World of the Lupi, Bk 1), but with some interesting changes.
Fiona Brand's piece just did not interest me and did not fit with the rest of the stories, all of which had paranormal themes, while hers did not. I have not read anything else by her. This was a murder mystery and a nice little love story. Give me a witch or a werewolf any day.

Good, quick read. Christine Feehan's story is, as usual, a delightful read. Wilks' heroine was wonderful--smart, tough, and strong. Sutcliffe's story was an interesting read except it's really a tie-in into a later book; thus there really was no resolution for either the hero and heroine or the plot at story's end. I'm not sure if I'm curious enough to get the book to find out what happens next. Not a good sign, imho...

I enjoyed the anthology except for the fact that the 2nd story leaves you hanging to go buy the author's next book, which completes the story. So, yes, I have ordered the book... the story was that good!

I do like this book. I got it for the Eileen Wilks story, but enjoyed the other four as well. The Christine Feehan is the first one in the Drake Sisters series, which I really like, actually much more than I like her Carpathian stories.
I enjoyed the other two stories, too. One of the reasons I like anthologies is that I almost always discover new authors I like.
I will be keeping this copy because of the Wilks Lupi story, but I would recommend this to anyone who likes magic with their romance. Lovely.

i only read Magic in the Wind. And couldn't stand it. The writing sucks!! As for the other 3 stories,i haven't a clue if they are any good or not.
I'm a fan of Christin Feehan's books, after reading this I've gone searching for books on the other authors.

I enjoyed these stories. I was disappointed in Hot August Moon. It was more of a teaser for another story. It was incomplete. It also seemed like the darkest of the four. The others were good. After midnight was one of those where most of the story is what the characters think, feel and perceive. It still has the mystery, danger, action elements too. All of these have a bit of that.

A MUST READ for Christine Feehan fans! "Magic in the Wind" is part of the DRAKE SISTERS series... don't want to miss it! Christine Feehan is always a pleasure to read... sadly, the story is toooooo short :( Should have been a full novel!!!!!!

Well written, especially the Christine Feehan story, "Magic in the Wind." I simply prefer historical over contemporary novels, so it wasn't my favorite. And of Christine Feehan's work, I much prefer her Carpathian stories (the Dark series). But if you enjoy contemporaries, you'll love this book!
