Well, I must say, I read the book in German and thought it was very entertaining. I chuckled many times over the two main characters and couldn't wait to read the sequel.
I found this book very frustrating.
The story itself could be a clone of many random IM-conversation from a meet-single site.
Obviously written before texting and/or IM were popular mode of communication in Germany, the e-epistolary too formal for people in what we can presume are in their 30s,and yet is shallow.
The characters never fully develop. Emmi is not likable,Leo is stiff. It's hard to understand why they keep on writing to each other.
I thought the concept had the potential of being interesting, unfortunately I found this book was very unsatisfying .
The only thing I like was the ending.
I read there is going to be a sequel,so probably there is going to be a different conclusion.
Too bad the author couldn't resist that temptation.
