heroine, Aidan, was not the usual run-of-the-mill drop dead gorgeous beauty like most of the romance novels out there. she was attractive in her own right, strong willed, level headed and posessed a secret yearning for love. i was also thrillled with the idea of Conn her husband adopting the st. michael surname instead....that was refreshing!
Aidan saw an opportunity that she dare not refuse and she grabbed it with outstretched arms willingly. the story travels from europe and crosses the ocean to an exotic land where our heroine is exposed to the tantilising sensual treats of the east.

They just don't write like this anymore. Bertrice Small's book are books you will want to devour. This isn't mindless writing that quickly bores you like a lot of romances today. Her books have climatic love scenes and such description and historical facts to feed your brain.
You will be laughing and crying and won't want to put them down.

I enjoyed this book. It is continuing in the O'Malley Series by Bertrice Small. Her darling little brother finds his match and fights for her. Well worth reading.
