This is one of my all-time favorite books. I loved the way the heroine moved from country to country in her quest and how it nearly consumed her. I loved the way it jumped back and forth through the centuries following the trail of the lost gems. What I loved most, however, was how the story resolved itself when she finally found what she was looking for and discovered it wasn't what she really wanted after all.
