My heart is stirred by this book. We are always trying to separate "the man" from "the political prowess" he exhibits as President. But I believe that because Ronald Reagan was a man who loved his family and his fellow man, he was able to inspire a nation during his eight years as President. I am grateful to have had opportunity to listen to this audio book.

I didn't know much about Ronald and Nancy Reagan before listening to this CD set but hearing his letters read aloud (by someone with a similar voice) and hearing her devotion to him (again, by someone with a similar voice) gives a very clear picture of their intimate relationship, marriage and life long love affair.
It's difficult to imagine a man who is President of the United States refer to his wife as "Nancy Pants" or "Poo Pants" or to hear that he wrote her nearly every day of his life expressing his deep love for her and repeating that he could not live without her.
Whether or not you are a Republican or a Reagan fan, if you enjoy an inside look at a power couple who carried on a lifelong love affair through assassination attempts, breast cancer, Alzheimer's and more, you will love this collection of letters.
