Maybe this isn't the best book Ms. Meyer's has written but it's pretty darn good and if this book makes you feel guilty and depressed maybe that's a good thing...it means that maybe you should be doing more. We all should do more.
Even if it's just to give someone a smile,a compliment, or a hug on a day when we're feeling our worst. Think about it. When you give a hug you're getting one in return.
Remember that every single person you see or meet needs love no matter what shield they carry.
There are things going on in this world that we as a whole tend to turn away from.Such as prostitution, child abuse, and hunger just to mention a few. We tend to judge people and turn a blind eye. We say ,hearing about it depresses us.How do you think the person going through it feels? Letting yourself feel sorrow for what these people are going through is a form of love too.
Everyone needs to show more love and that doesn't mean throwing money in a donation box.
Love is not turning your back when you see someone hurting or being hurt. Show your love by doing something.
If you can give money and you give it in quiet and for the right reasons that's great but don't flaunt your donations.
Not everyone has money but everyone has the ability to love,respect,show empathy and help in some way.
Joyce Meyer Ministries, like all other honest ministries,is doing what they can. And by telling you about it is a good way of letting the world know what is needed and where.
Billy Graham and Joel Osteen (who have by the way also named their ministries after them selves,)are doing what's important. The names of their foundations don't make a difference;what they do makes a difference.
Unlike a lot of other ministries Joyce Meyer has a lot of books and materials that are available for a "WHAT EVER THE AMOUNT " donation.
One ministry even wants a $1000 donation just for a bible with (the ministrie's) name on the front of it...please...a $1000????
Read the book,think about it's message. Decide for your self.

I enjoyed this book and have experienced the eye-opening that Joyce Meyer and her Love Revolutionaries seemed to have just grasped. Understanding that many Christians are only that in name and that there is so much more that we can do for them, while there are many references to her ministry and what it is doing to help in various parts of the world it is understandable to write a book from one's own perspective and it did at times seem as though she were advertising her ministry. Having read other material and watched her program I have seen many positive things come from her ministry and while I have not agreed with all of her writing I believe that this book tells it like it is in the real world of Christians and the Church as a whole. While depressing at times it is important to know what impact we can have in small circles in order to be able to spread the word and works of Jesus in our own circle or friends and family as well as impact the world.

Good refresher for what we should already be doing but with Joyce's humorous take on things added in to make it livable or real. Basically it says we should love as Jesus loved, be like him in showing love in action not just words, be kind and help those in need. Other people commented about the depressing start or how often Joyce mentions that she personally did this or that. It IS her book. She usually follows with the statement that not everyone can give money gifts. That's a good thing. If everyone had the same gifts and talents to give we wouldn't be able to reach all people right were they need it. Some people need time or something other than money to help. The "depressing" start... well it's real. We DO need a big change, the world needs more than a revival it needs a total revolution in the way we treat others. Christians-we are God's ambassadors here on earth. Let others see Christ in your and your works so that you bear good fruit.

I was not a fan of this book. This was the first book I read by Joyce Meyer and I won it in a giveaway.
I'm not sure how you give a bad review to a Christian themed book...I've read a lot of Christian non fiction before and I have liked all the books I've read. Until now.
This book discusses a Love Revolution. Joyce describes the issues in the world today with hunger, child prostitution, the poor and needy, those that abuse alcohol and drugs, etc. She calls Christians to rise up and show love to these people in Jesus' name.
My problem with this book was that it seemed very promotional of Joyce Meyer Ministries to me. I hate to be critical, but it seemed like she'd say something about where Christians aren't doing their job and duty to represent Christ, then she'd say something along the lines of "At Joyce Meyer Ministries, we..." or "I have a gift for giving..." And it just felt weird to read. Don't get me wrong, I think Christians could be doing a lot more of what they hear in church (myself included) instead of sitting there every week and hearing the message. I think we need to practice and apply what we learn. But I felt that this book was VERY critical of Christians as a whole. I think some of us honestly try and some of us could try harder.
This book was filled with depressing statistics. I get that the point was to give the numbers to give some folks a reality check and to get the message across. But in today's tough times, it felt more like watching the news or reading the paper. I think I expected a more encouraging book that inspired me to be a better Christian and ambassador of Christ's love. Instead, I found myself getting sad about all that goes on in this world and feeling like I am not doing anything to help. But don't worry, Joyce Meyer Ministries is doing what they can. (Ok, so that was a cheap shot. )
I don't mean to be down on the ministry because if they are impacting lives with the message of Jesus Christ then I absolutely think that's wonderful. But I have to wonder why the name of the ministry doesn't have God or Christ or something related to His name in it? After all, isn't that where all the glory belongs? It may seem as though I'm being a bit harsh and I don't mean to come off that way, but I was not a fan of this book. I hope that if you read this, that it inspires you and moves you. I think the message of the book was a great idea in theory. I just think the message could have been delivered more effectively.
