Over the years, Ive read most, if not all of the Evanovich books. The Plum books have become rather ho-hum because of the repetitiveness. After reading the first few pages of LOVE IN A NUTSHELL, I decided that Dorien Kelly was a good partner. The reader is spared the worst of Evanovichs excesses; no car bombing/accidents or heavy doses of innuendo between the main characters.
However, there was little of the classic Evanovich humor. The story was told in a pleasant way, although the plot was very predictable. There was a mystery of a sort that flowed through the pages.
3 stars very, very average

This is a cute, little fluffy chick lit mystery that can be read in one sitting. Even though it is pieced together using the usual pattern for this type of story, it is enjoyable to read and the characters are somewhat believable.
