Really loved this book. It painted a nuanced, not judgemental, picture of the weird ways we treat animals. Example: it is probably a far better life to life that of a rooster used for cockfighting than that of a "broiler" chicken raised for meat! But which practice do you think should be illegal: cockfighting or commercial chicken production?
