This was a fun, sweet read. I like the "friends realizing they love each other" plot line. Lucy is like many people-- thinking she knows what is best even when God obviously has something better right in front of her face. Mixed with humor and a bit of Christian inspiration.

Great chick lit meets christian romance book. Lucy isn't an outdoorsy girl but she isn't afraid to jump in and try. Author does a wonderful job of making characters come to life; I saw a lot of Lucy in myself :).
Her friend Matt is wonderful and always sticks up for her when others tend to gossip about her misfortunes. The author gently reminds the reader that gossiping is unkind and it shows that's its about the other person not understanding another's perspective.
Love Lucys' prayer journal.

Lucy is a girlie girl with a great job and a close friend. When the singles from her church decide to go on a trip to the wild, Lucy adamantly refuses. That is, until she meets Justin . . . the man of her dreams. Good looking, fun, and adventurous, Justin is everything she is not. Justin signs up for the trip and so Lucy decides to go too. After a harrowing experience in a cavern, an embarrassing trip in a hot air balloon, and a narrow escape on a horse, Lucy is still trying to impress Justin and make him like her but going through torture trying to do it. She paints a picture of what she thinks Justin will like, even when it is nothing like she really is.
In comes . . . Matt. Matt has been a good friend of Lucy's since she was a kid. He was by her side when she was ill, works at the same job, and is the ever considerate gentleman. He is like a brother to Lucy.
Will Lucy realize that God has someone in mind for her that appreciates who Lucy truly is? Will she survive all of her wild adventures?
On a side note, she is a 30 year old lady, but acts more like a teenager or early twenties flirting around. She is a ditz!

This is the first book I have read from the Love Finds You series and I have to say I loved this book. Very cute and so down to earth. Lucy is going on a retreat that she never would have went on due the new guy that joined the singles club at her church. Lucy thinks Justin (the new guy) is just amazing and so she decides that she will learn to like the outdoors in order to appease him, as Justin wants a girl who loves the outdoors as much as he does (which Lucy hates the outdoors). Lucy goes through every part of the trip with something happening to her while she's trying to impress Justin (I'll let you find out what she does, but it is funny). And in the end she comes to realize what God was really trying to tell her. Just a fun story that strikes almost all of us, how we should be ourselves, not someone else. This was just a great book.

This book was exactly what I anticipated - a sweet, funny romance with a klutzy main character and endearing secondary characters. The book centers around a group of 10 singles, ranging in age from mid-20s to late-30s, who go on a church-sponsored week-long retreat together. I enjoyed the scriptures the author included throughout the book in the context of the group's evening worship services.
Lucy, the main character experiences hilarious mishaps while participating in group activities as the singles pair up in various couples. The book has a HEA ending (of course) that made me smile. It was bittersweet to read this title as the author died suddenly in November 2016 at age 58.

This is one ditsy girl, but the story is hilarious! I could not put it down and would consider it one of my favorite Love Finds You books. The romance is sweet as well.
