I found the characters to be very dual. They didn't go below surface level and the story line was the same. I kept reading to see what would happen and if there would be anything offered. Sadly until the end the story kept a constant flat line. Speas could have done much more with this, as it had the beginnings of an interesting story but she just didn't explore it. To bad I might have enjoyed it more.
