This story is one of my favorites. Only God can take what appears to be a broken life and turn it into something that is beautiful. This story helps us see that in the trials of our lives, we grow into something God can use.

I loved this book. It started out a bit slow, but as the story started to evolve it got much better, and I got to where I couldn't put it down at night. As soon as I finished it, the movie came on the Hallmark channel, so it was neat to see it. Only thing I didn't like about the movie was the female character...I had pictured her differently in my mind from the books description. (The book came out first) Wonderful book though and I do plan on continuing the series.

AFter watching this movie, I bought this book at a library book sale and it was even better than the movie! The love that grows between the main character and the father and daughter who lost their wife/mother is wonderful and you feel as though you are part of their family

Wonderful story. It reminded me very much of the old TV show, "Wagon Train". It is the story of a group heading West, all the trials and hardships. Inspirational. I enjoyed it.

This was my first Christian book and I truly enjoyed it. It is well written, easy to read, and just an enjoyable book. I've seen the movie and the book is so much better!!

This is the first of an 8 part series that has since been made into some movies. This is a Christian romance. One of my favorite books of all times, and now one of my favorite authors.
I really enjoyed this book. I love the way that Janette Oke writes. This is a hard book to put down.

I wasn't 5 sentences into this book when the author had my full attention. Wonderful book that provides insight into some of the difficult situations frontier women faced. I highly recommend it.
I loved the movie....but I could NOT read this book. The dialogues were so hard to read. I know the author was trying to capture the nuances of the speech of that time...but it was so distracting. I didn't even finish it.
Great condition. Christian love story by Janette Oke about a woman pioneer venturing out west with her love, tradegy strikes, then she meets a young many with a little girl. Story of love, faith and courage.
