This is a fantastic novel about finding love in the most unexpected times and places. I got so into this book that I was mad when I had to put it down. There are actually two stories in one: two women leading tortured lives just trying to make it another day, and trying to fulfill their purpose in life. For one this comes easy, the other slowly must discover hers. The story is based in a time when hysterical women were sent out of the home, sometimes for life. I liked the Indian folklore and tradition that was tied into the story. This one will probably be in my top of 2008.
