this was really enjoyable. it's a small collection of short stories involving alvirah and willy meehan. 6 rather exciting quick mysteries. i never read the book the characters were introduced in, but it didn't hurt my enjoyment of these stories any. they're instantly likeable characters.

Alvirah and Willy are a cute and funny couple who are always finding themselves in trouble of sorts as Alvirah tries to solve crimes on her own. These are all funny short stories about some of their adventures. Some of the stories are also in the book "Death on the Cape," but this was the only thing that disappointed me.

Three stories in one book. Alvirah Meehan, one of Mary Higgins Clark's most beloved characters, returns in these dazzling, intertwines tales of sleuthing and suspense. Alvirah, the former cleaning lady who struck it rich in the lottery, made her first appearance in "Weep No More."Now, with her devoted mate, Willy, the ever-resourceful Alvirah delves into crime-solving on a grand scale-and with her own inimitable style.
