Much much better compared to the first book in the series. And yes you have to read book 1 to understand this one.
The story line is much smoother, no more I'm not sure who I am lines every two seconds. Instead Tania's on a mission to find her mother, the queen of Faerie, and also to decide where she must finally call home, the mortal world, or Faerie.
Trust me, if you were a bit bored with book one, keep reading, it gets better!
