"Killing Mr. Watson" was better but this is a good novel about early Florida history.
In this darkly compelling novel...returns to the primeval landscape of the Florida Everglades...the author mounts a Shakespearean drama of fathers and sons, land and rapacity, murder, honor, and revenge...Beautifully composed, filled with the eerie splendor of an endangered world and the voices of its people, LOST MAN'S RIVER is a masterpiece."
