Although this novel had lots of the usual action and adventure from Cussler, it didn't seem to hold my interest as most of his books do. This one is the second Fargo adventure about the globe-trotting treasure-seeking team of Sam and Remi Fargo. I really enjoyed the first book in the series, Spartan Gold, but was a little disappointed in this one. The Fargos travel from Zanzibar to Madagascar to Indonesia in search of clues on the origin of the Aztecs. They were following clues left by a 19th century mathematician and military man named Winston Blaylock whose character was rather fascinating. However, in the end, I found the story to be somewhat tedious and really far-fetched. I plan on reading some of the earlier Cussler novels that I have missed along the way and I'm sure they will all be better than this later effort.
Good read
Another great Fargo adventure in the true Cussler tradition of adventure, excitement, struggle and strife and ultimate success. Fun along with knowledge and historical trivia. Way to go!
Interesting adventure off the coast of Africa. Quick easy reading meaning I didn't want to put it down. Lots of twists and turns.
Sorry not much time but this book kept me on the edge of my seat, (or elbows on my bed :) ).
Loved this Fargo series of books. The descriptions of the Fargo's adventures is a quick read. Could not put this book or the other two Fargo books down.
