Kurt Austin and the NUMA team battle a mysterious foe when the secret of eternal life is discovered in an area called "The Lost City".

Another Clive Cussler win, this book is a great read and one you don't want to put down. It has plane crashes, glaciers, underwater action, and strange things happening. If you need a thriller and a book to lose yourself in, this is the one.

An enzyme that could dramatically prolong life has been discovered in the North Atlantic - under two thousand feet of icy water in an area known as the "Lost City." But why are the people attempting to harvest its secrets dying mysteriously? Why are scientists from a remote Greek laboratory disappearing one by one? And what does all of this have to do with a body found frozen in the ice high up in the Alps?

To a family of ruthless French arms dealers, the Lost City is the key to world domination. To Kurt Austin, leader of NUMA's Special Assignments Team, and his colleague Joe Zavala, it's clear they have their work cut out for them. But this job may be even bigger than they think - in fact, it may be their greatest, and deadliest, challenge of all. . .

"Cussler twist fact and ficition into a rope of tension that will leave you dangling until the last page!"

Another fun book in the Kurt Austin series. While the premise is perhaps a bit far-fetched, the pace is good, the story is engrossing, and the plot has the ususal twists and turns one comes to expect from Cussler. I recommend it to all fans of NUMA and the usual characters who populate the Cussler books.

Another good one , this one is more updated with Dirk in Admiral S's
place in NUMA . So it's a little different. Still a world threatening
plot.
