I purchased this book while my father was dying in hospice, and although it had helpful information on the stages of grief and the feelings associated with it, I felt it left out readers who had spiritual or religious beliefs.
There was a line in the book that (to paraphrase) said "Although it may be helpful to think of your parent look down on you from heaven, or to imagine he or she has come back in another form, the sooner you abandon these childish beliefs, the better you will recover (or something to that effect).
Well, I am not overly religious (I don't believe in going to church), but the fact that I cannot acknowledge basic beliefs of my faith and spirituality was upsetting for me.
I would suggest another book if faith is important to you in your healing process.
