A powerful and disturbing book: written from a Catholic point of view in 1906, it anticipates (eerily) much of what is happening today, including the rise of humanistic materialism to supplant true faith and the persecution of those who practice it; as if H.G. Wells had undergone a conversion to the one true faith.
