The sight of sheep grazing peacefully on a grassy hillside brings a sense of well being to even the most troubled heart. Perhaps it is becasue of the symbolism the image carries - helpless, defenseless creatures able to munch contently under the watchful eye of one they have learned to trust.
Jesus called His followers sheep, and as His sheep we long to comprehend what it means to find contentment under the watchful eye of our loving trustworthy heavenly Shepherd.
