For some reason, I thought this was going to be about languages and how modern languages hold within them the history of various civilizations rising and falling across geographical areas. It is instead a guide to home study for learning multiple languages, based on understanding the similarities between Romance and Teutonic languages with an occasional nod to the Greek. It's certainly not meant to be read for pleasure.
