Another great ride from Francis. I thought this was an engrossing page turner. Another one of my favorites by him.
Wow, this is one of Francis's best that I've ever read. It's about an down-on-his-luck author who agrees to do an autobiography for a famous horse trainer and gets sucked into his world, where people are getting killed and there's a lot of danger. I just loved every minute of it and was sad when it ended. This protagonist turns out to be the hero and wins the admiration of all those around him.

"Impulse will kill you one of these days," his agent had warned. Kendall should have listened, but he didn't - not by a longshot ..." An excellent, fast-paced read with believable characters.
