In spots, this books is dated enough that I was reminded that it was a contemporary work. That said, I found it a very interesting read. If you have any interest in 20th century Britain and particularly leading up to World War II, you should find a copy and read it. Most aspects of life in Britain are covered. It is as much a social and cultural history as political. That is what makes it so interesting. The numerous comments about trends imported from the U.S. were fun reading.
