Disturbing, fascinating, true story of children caught up in the horror of a war they not only don't understand but don't want to be involved in. the authors description of brutal killing is told in a very matter of fact and calm manner which still haunts me. His is a voice that begs to be heard and listened to.

This was one of those books that I didn't want to put down and didn't want it to end. There are some areas that were a little too graphic for me to read as far as violence goes, so I would skip over those parts. A very good book!
