Please help me understand if I wasn't the only one lost --where did the son come from? I was reading and by the last page I didn't know who or how he came into play. They introduce him toward the latter half of the story but like 2 pages worth and then no other mention. What in the world? I felt like I fell asleep somewhere and woke up at the end of the movie.
