Be prepared to enter the wonderful world of Mosley again with this new complex character. It was a shock to be in the modern age with Mosley's book as the other books I've read was set in 1950-1960's Los Angeles.
This book stumbled a bit for me at the beginning but it definitely hit it's stride in no time. Check it out, you won't be sorry and you will be panting to learn more about Leonid McGill.

I don't care for Mosley's detective stories personally. My husband enjoyed this, I stopped reading mid-way when I realized that I didn't really care how the story ended.
