I started this one with a little trepidation; Schwarz's "Drowning Ruth" was magnificent, but her second effort, "All is Vanity" was hardly worth the effort. This, her third, is much better, though still doesn't live up to the promise of "Drowning Ruth". This story interweaves two generations and families. There is love, sex, recrimination. I don't think it ties things up as tightly as it should have--but it is an enjoyable read.
