My 21 month old daughter loves this book. Mama llama puts llama llama red pajama to bed and goes about her chores. little llama calls for mama and has to be patient until mama comes.
My son loves the "Llama, Llama" books. We now have most of them and my son is constantly asking me to read them to him! This one is cute. It talks about the little llama wanting his mama. After he throws a fit and convinces himself that he is alone, mama lama shows up. She explain to him that she loves him very much, but is busy and can't always be right next to him. The book has adorable rhyming in it which my son loves. I also use this book to teach my son that just because mama is not in the same room with him doesn't mean that she isn't nearby. I use it as a lesson tool! :-)
The Llama Llama books are all wonderful. Cute and endearing to anyone who has had a little one get grumpy or scared. Emphasizing rhyming and how little llama gets through all these "bad" feelings. LOVE them!!
I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old and we LOVE this book!I'm trying to get all the books in the series. Anna Dewdney really knows how to capture the emotions of a toddler and as a parent you get to see how your little one may understand things. VERY talented writer/artist, and VERY fun book! This is NOT a book a kid can get bored and walk away from.
