For anyone who has Hepatitis C (HCV) or knows of someone who has HCV, this book is an excellent resource. It answers questions from someone who's just been diagnosed and it serves also as a review for anyone who has had HCV for a longer period of time. Though this book was written several years ago, it is still applicable for today. The only change would be in the protocols and medications. The topics covered include: how to understand blood tests and biopsies; how to avoid infecting others; liver facts; liver disease symptoms; guidelines for healthy nutrition in liver disease; how to take care of yourself emotionally and financially; liver transplants; and, research trends.
