An excellent guide. It not only gave me the information I need as to what to expect but also took me into the realm of what assistance is available, tips about how to handle cognitive and behavioral issues, and most importantly a greater understanding of exactly why these things are occurring. When dealing with brain injury, the unexpected becomes the expected. Many of my friends tell me you have to hold the brain injured person accountable for their behavior, but when I actually read the data, he can't be held accountable...only helped to understand why the behavior can't continue. Although I intuitively understood much of this, comparing his behavior with the people described in the book made it very concrete. I strongly recommend any of the Living with Brain Injury guides.
