This is an incredible tour of Egypt or a day in what you might use if you lived there --- the illustrations are great, she has a phonetic spelling by each word used so you learn as you read and a lovely dictionary in the back of the Egyptian words she used. The illustrations are just terrific! There's also a wee bit of history. As a full grown adult I even learned more than I thought I could or would! ---Every school should carry a whole set of these books --- for their young readers! What else is important is that the book is long enough for a young child's attention span!
