This was a good little book with unforgettable characters. The writing is very light and easy and makes me think back to the days of watching the little house on the prairie as a little girl. This book was not in my preferred genre but once I read the summary I couldn't put it down. The old western feel of the story and the wonderful characters pull you in. I can't wait to read the other two books in the trilogy, A Texas Sky and City Girl.

This was the first book of Lori Wick that I read, and I enjoyed it. She's a descriptive writer and tells a great story.

A nice story with the magical pull of the Old West thrown in. I loved the characters and their love and concern for each other. It was very touching. I enjoyed this book

Deputy Liberty Drake arrests Texas Ranger Slater Rawlings after he's caught with a gun in a saloon, which would be normal for the Old West, but apparently is against the law in the fictitious Shotgun, Texas. Slater is drawn to the homey little town and to its church, as well as to the feisty Liberty, who veers from being overly saccharine to being outright antagonistic. She does something to Slater's visiting brother, Dakota, towards the book's conclusion that made me want to slap some sense into her. That she has to give up a job she loves and is good at because it's not feminine is my main problem with the book. Otherwise, the characters are funny and sweet, although the historical detail might not always be spot on.
This was a fun book. I love Lori Wick's imagination!
Fun Fun story!

First book of the Yellow Rose trilogy about former Texas Rangers who are brothers and find the power of true love through their new found religion. Book 1:"Every Little Thing About You", Book 2: "A Texas Sky", Book 3: "City Girl". Light reading. Entertaining.
