It's no secret that I'm an avid reader (I typically finish a book or more a week), am a HUGE fan of Sheila Roberts books, and I don't write many reviewsâI love almost all books I've ever readâand when I do, I don't generally include the synopsis as if you want that, you can get it elsewhere. I just finished reading A Little Christmas Spirit by Sheila Roberts. I received this book as I was about to embark on a week-long vacation on the right coast and jumped right into reading it, as always, I was not disappointed. This was a quick and delightful holiday read, yes, begging to be made into the likes of a Hallmark movie!

Single mother Lexi and her son Brock are new in town and their widowed neighbor Stanley. Brock immediately decides Stanley is going to be his grandpa. Stanley is not at all amused as he is the epitome of Oscar the Grouch, the Grinch, Scrooge and a curmudgeon (to end all curmudgeons) all rolled into one. I ought to know, I married, well, his twin, so, I may have more than a passing attraction to this particular character. Throughout the story, Stanley's wife Carol (no pun intended, right?) appears in his dreams as faux Christmas Past, Present and maybe a little of Yet to Come. And here's a bit of a spoiler, I wanted the dog's name to have been Carol, not Bonnie!

Thank you Ms. Roberts for yet another wonderful story. You always make me laugh and often cry in the space of a few sentences! And I'm still waiting for you to pen Muriel Sterling's books! In the interest of full disclosure, I'm on Ms. Roberts' street team, I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
