A fun read even as an adult. Some funny references that older readers (boomers)would get. I like books that I feel like jumping into the pages to be a part of the character's world. A bit of a slow start but it winds up with an unexpected finish. The grandmother is a smart funny woman of substance. Not your stereotypical Granny. The kids are kids and don't act like mini adults. A good read.
