This is the third in a great, exciting page turner of a series.
In it Barker & Llewelyn are visited by an Inspector who was investigating the murder of Barker's former assistant. The Inspector finds a pawn ticket in the jacket of the victim which starts an adventure on the murderer's trail...a dangerous journey through the mean streets of London's Chinatown. A must read for lovers of mystery.

Limehouse Text, the third book in this series, just continues the excellent mysteries Barker and Llewelyn encounter and solve. The title is a combination of the London district where most of the action unfolds, and a very small, but important, book everyone seems to want. And at least one of them wants it enough to kill.

Llewelyn, as usual, continues to make mistakes which endangers his life and the lives of others. But he is learning. He also encounters two desirable ladies, but, unfortunately, seems to be out of the running in obtaining a closer relationship with either.

And then there is the dog.

This is Book 3 of the Barker & Llewelyn mystery series.

I am thrilled to say that this series just keeps getting better. I have really grown to like Cyrus Barker, and Will Thomas has done a masterful job of keeping him mysterious while slowly letting you in on the details of his life.

The Limehouse Text was a very well written mystery and it is probably my favorite installment of the series so far. While Barker begins to re-investigate the cold case of his murdered former assistant, the text describing an ancient and deadly Chinese fighting style goes missing in London. On top of that, multiple murders are taking place.

It is an engaging read from start to finish and I truly enjoyed the additional glimpses of character development that continue to occur between Barker and Llewelyn. This book is another success and I highly recommend it.
