Short stories by the author of the "Brother Cadfael" mysteries - some realistic, some fantastic. None of them are medieval mysteries, but all are well-written.
I have a very high regard for Edith Pargeter (AKA Ellis Peters). Like many anthologies there are some which are better than others. Some of them I would never have imagined her writing them. So she surprised me. In this one, most are very good. I especially liked the first one.
