Enjoyable reading. Gentle story lines make this great bedtime reading, as conflict is rare and the story carries the tale without violence or unpleasantness. I think I'll stock up on Jan Karon novels.

One of the books in the Mitford / Father Tim series. I read all the books in the series and enjoyed every one of them. Light and easy reading with many heart warming stories 'within' a story about community, good stewardship, friendship, love and more. Not my usual genre but I enjoyed Jan Karon's writing immensely. All the books in the series made the rounds of my book loving friends, and we all agreed, we wish there was at least 'one' more to read.

The Mitford series is delightful! Definitely a feel-good read! The characters and village setting are all very charming. You'll fall in love with them and wish that you live in Mitford yourself, unless you already do ... then we'll all envy you. Definitely recommend the entire series!

Jan Karon's books are a delight, a growing romance of a middle age pastor and his neighbor lady. a love that grows as she gets to know his friends, his retirement and how do they handle that?
